Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What Is NozeBot On The Go?

NozeBot On The Go is a hospital-grade suction device that gently clears your baby’s nasal passages so they can breathe easier.

Unlike the original NozeBot, which is rechargeable, this model runs on three AA batteries. Its compact size makes it perfect for on-the-go use, whether traveling across the country or just out and about with your little one.

The tubing wraps around the main unit so you don’t have to worry about it getting tangled. There’s a spot on the side to snap the nose piece into, making it easy to pack up again when your baby’s nose is clear.

How Is NozeBot On The Go Different From The NozeBot?

While both models of the NozeBot are safety-certified to provide hospital-grade suction, there are some differences between them.

  • The NozeBot has three levels of suction, while the NozeBot On The Go has only one. It works best for mild congestion.
  • 3 AA batteries power the NozeBot On The Go, while the NozeBot gets charged with a Micro-USB cable.
  • The NozeBot On The Go is more compact and easier to use outside the home. Its tubing wraps around itself to keep it all together.

Which NozeBot Is Right For Me?

While many parents decide to purchase both models of the NozeBot, others may prefer one over the other.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when choosing between them:

  • Where will you use this device most often? If you plan on using it mostly at home, the NozeBot may be a better option since it has rechargeable batteries and multiple suction levels.
  • How stuffy does your baby get? NozeBot On The Go is appropriate for mild congestion, while the NozeBot can handle mile to severe snot levels.
  • Is portability important to you? NozeBot On The Go is more compact and can be kept in a diaper bag for use outside the home.

How Do I Use NozeBot On The Go?

Using the portable NozeBot On The Go is simple. To start, put three AA batteries into the device.

Then, insert a disposable filter into the nosepiece. Next, connect the tubing to the nosepiece and the main device. Now, it’s ready to suck snot.

Slide two fingers into the nosepiece and use the power button to turn on the NozeBot On The Go. Gently insert the tip of the nosepiece into one of your baby’s nostrils. The suction will start to remove the mucus. When it’s gone, repeat on the other side.

Once all the snot is out, turn off the device, dispose of the used filter, and wash the nosepiece and tubing.

When Should I Take My Baby To The Doctor For Congestion?

While the NozeBot and NozeBot On The Go can effectively remove mucus from your baby’s nose and help them breathe more easily, there are times when you need medical advice.

If your little one experiences any of the following symptoms, it’s best to call their doctor:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Persistent coughing or wheezing
  • Fever over 100.4°F in infants under three months old
  • Refusal to eat or drink
  • Decreased urination
  • Dry mouth
  • No tears when crying
  • Excessive irritability
  • Lethargy

You’ll also want to schedule an appointment if your baby’s congestion doesn’t improve after a few days of home treatment or if it worsens.

How Often Should I Change The Filter On NozeBot On The Go?

Your NozeBot On The Go comes with 12 disposable filters designed to keep snot out of the tubing and pump. Since nasal secretions can harbor bacteria, changing the filter after each use is important. It can help keep your baby safe from harmful germs.

Having a clean filter also keeps your device working properly. This little piece helps maintain the suction. When it’s covered in dried mucus, it can affect the suction and make it less effective.

If your supply of filters is running low, you can purchase more here.
